Conference: Robots Rights and Ethics


Coming from science fiction, are robots rights revealing as a new issue? While it is still premature to consider such  rights status, robots technical supporting decision evolve in reaction to their environment.

Considering this increasing autonomy,it is the given robots definition that acquire precision. These developments are inevitably accompanied by legal and ethical issues. Whether on liability or protection of privacy, the robot can no longer be considered as a machine like any others.

A reflection on the robots rights and ethics is then defined, according to the evolution of our perception and our uses of robots performing simple intelligent acts up to human partners.
