The 2019 Edition of the Annual ÉTS Student Researchers’ Conference

On November 20, 2019, for the third year in a row, the Graduate Student Committee will be hosting the annual ÉTS Student Researchers’ Conference (CAÉCÉTS). The mission of this conference is to hold an event organized by and for the students to gather and innovate together.

The objectives are:

  • To join forces around common basic topics related to everyday life at the graduate level.
  • To discover the diversity of researches conducted at ÉTS by presenting and popularizing our work.
  • To meet with graduate hiring organizations and exchange views on our mutual goals.
  • To discover the ÉTS tools designed to help us throughout our curriculum.
  • To meet working graduate students: What is life after graduation.

Throughout the day, representatives of established and start-up companies will meet with ÉTS students in the AGORA.

Tout au long de la journée, des représentants d’entreprises établies et en démarrage pourront rencontrer les étudiants de l’ÉTS dans l’AGORA.

The customary three-minute student presentations will be delivered in two time slots, morning and afternoon, to outline the diversity of research projects conducted at ÉTS. Experts in the field will discuss work-life balance, a must during academic studies, and a fun quiz will be organized on research ethics.

Communication workshops will also be organized, with the valuable assistance of SARA, to address the challenges of research communication skills (creating articles, lectures, posters, etc.). Lastly, in late afternoon, a postgraduate panel will give our participants an overview of potential professional paths after graduation.

Registration starts on September 23!

We hope that this third edition will be a success and will help unite the graduate community.
